Housing

Housing on The Hill offers a wide selection of sizes, styles and ages. While some homes in the area pre-date the turn of the century, the area was not completed until the 1960s, and new construction continues to this day. This timespan has created a diversity of sizes and styles providing a wide selection of choices for home buyers. The most famous, and most popular, is the shot-gun floor plans which were designed to optimize air flow through the house. Newer developments at St. Ambrose Place and condominiums at the corner of Shaw and Edwards offer the conveniences and efficiency of new construction. A tradition of ongoing maintenance and modernization by area homeowners gives stability and continuity to this area.
